Upon being invited to participate in my first tour as a musician, I was honored since I was also encouraged to sing in the ensemble as my first choir experience, in addition to accompanying on violin. I asked if it would be possible to write an original piece for the occasion, and I was given a thumbs up, provided I wrote the piece in under two weeks. The text used is Celebration by Denise Levertov, which was a recommendation from my English teacher.
